Polyethylene (PE) smooth wall pipes for electrical cable installation – Specification

This standard specifies the minimum requirements for PE smooth wall pipes for electrical cable installation. It applies to PE pipes, red colour which are intended to be used for buried application and PE pipes, black colour with red stripes which are intended to be used for buried and above-ground application (both inside and outside buildings).

This standard was developed with the following objectives:
a) to provide a comprehensive standard that specifies requirements for smooth wall PE pipes for electrical cable installation;
b) to be used as a guidance by users and manufacturers;
c) to be used as a basis for product certification for smooth wall PE pipes for electrical cable installation; and
d) to ensure the safety of the product in the market.
