Information resource serves as one of the competitive edges of the contemporary digital world whereby organizations must assess the most relevant information for their business and exploit it.
Such information should be concise with changing business dynamics and technologies. Within the Industry 4.0 (I4.0) era, most services and production of products are supported by IT applications, hence all industries should not exempt themselves from using IT applications within their systems. Therefore, it is crucial for organizations to manage these applications and their IT infrastructure systematically.
It is very beneficial to all parties, to the service providers, to the organizations and to the customers to have the applications and/or the IT infrastructure to be certified against any good practice in the world to ensure that the applications and the IT infrastructure are managed and implemented accordingly.
The Internet is a further tool that can help make life easier and IT Management is all about using advancements in technology to simplify the processes and help make the business run more smoothly. Most businesses and organizations nowadays are keeping electronic records and there are a wealth of programs and apps developed to help in the management of the essential business processes.
The training programme was designed mainly to provide the understanding and implementation of IT Service Management System (ITSMS). The requirements within the standard includes the design, transition, delivery, and improvement of services to fulfil agreed service requirements.
The international standard ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 describes an integrated set of processes and management approach for the effective delivery of IT services to internal or external customers. The standard is not only applicable to service providers, it is even suitable to be used by organizations or relevant departments that are monitoring the IT services provided internally or externally.
SIRIM STS was honored to realize the Malaysian Government’s aspirations and commitment towards the promotion of technical cooperation among developing countries, strengthening bilateral regional cooperation as well as nurturing collective self-reliance among developing countries.
